British Finswimming Association British Long-Course
Championships, Aldershot, Surrey, April 2007.
I travelled to Aldershot (via Birmingham) on the weekend of April
7 / 8th to take part in the 2007 BFA Long Course Championships.
As well as debuting a new Fastskin Race Suit, I was hoping to
swim my first LC APNEA swim for some years; in the event I did
not do the swim but that was due to circumstances beyond my
control.
British Short Course Championships at Edenbridge, November
17th, 2007
I swam 3 events, and had a mixed selection of results including
a narrowly-missed PB time in the 25m APNEA dash, but had an
infuriatingly slow 0:40.32" for the 50 surface, I just got the tactics
(what tactics?) wrong in that one.
8th Leipzig Sprint Cup, Leipzig (D) November 25th 2007.
The details of my results are below:
50m Surface: 00:34.86"
100m Surface: 01:12.69" (PB)
50m AP DNF (Disq.).

UZSC Meet, January 12th -13th
50m Surface: 00:31.66" PERSONAL BEST
100m Surface: 01:12.26" PERSONAL BEST
50m APNEA: Disq. (A3 - DNF)
This was a good weekend for me despite the APNEA
disappointment. I felt absolutely up for these races and the
training I have done continued to pay off.
I have now done THREE PB times in 100m Surface (Long
Course) since April 2007 and am seriously up for a 4th in the
next 2-3 months.
