More about me..

I was born in Gateshead, Co. Durham, GB, August 6th, 1952.
I am 1.54m in height and weigh 67kg.
In January 2003 I started work as a Running Footwear and clothing
sales person at Northern Runner in Newcastle.

Because of  hormonal imbalance, I have Gyneacomastia and need
to wear Swimwear that covers the top half of my body.

More about my sports...
In terms of Sports, I do Running, and Classic-Swimming as well as
Finswimming.
My Personal Best for 5km Road-race is 0.23.22, set in 2001, and
my PB for 10km is 0.47.53 set in 2000.

My personal bests in Finswimming Competitions :
25m Surface:  0:16.41" Edenbridge, ENG, November, 2008
25m APNEA: 0:14.59" Edenbridge, ENG, November 2008.
50m APNEA: 0:33.81" Genk, BEL, April 19th, 2009

2010.

100m Surface (Monofin):  01:20.05" (Eindhoven, (NL), May 31st,
2008.

MY OTHER TRAINING:  I am also a Member of Gateshead and
Whickham ASC at Dunston Pool, near Gateshead, and train with
them on Tuesday Evenings or when I am in the area on a Sunday
PM.

On July  29th 2007 I dived 'Nemo 33', a 33m deep indoor diving pit
in Brussels.
Although I didn't get to the bottom of the pit - my furthest depth
was between 10 and 15m - I enjoyed the experience immensely,
and spent a very happy hour at the centre.

My Life Motto:
"Once in a Lifetime, you find the Power
To break-out and run from the Devil's deep clutch
All that You need for your Finest Hour
Is to believe in the Magic Touch"

taken by the BFA  Publicity Officer,
Phil Crumpton,  at a training session
alongside Gateshead and Whickham
ASC Masters swimmers at Dunston
pool on October 5th, 2008.

Above: preparing for a surface 50m
swim.  I was fortunate in having a
lane to myself on this occasion, so
could use a monofin most of the
time.
